Kaoutar is a young Moroccan singer-songwriter. She was born and raised in El Jadida, Morocco where she attended “Groupe Scolaire l’Ange Bleu” before moving to New York, USA to complete her studies. She holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration and Marketing and communication, and is currently completing her MBA in Marketing at Brooklyn College, New York. Kaoutar was awarded several scholarships for her academic excellence and leadership achievements.

The wonders of music ignited in Kaoutar a passion for singing and songwriting since early childhood. In 2009, she was chosen among hundreds of applicants to participate in the Middle Eastern singing competition “Star Academy Arab” but could not partake in the final competitions due to her residency overseas. Fueled by her passion for singing and songwriting, Kaoutar persisted. She continued to write songs in different languages including Arabic, French, and English. Eventually, she released her first Moroccan single, which she wrote herself, entitled “Hobak Dayaa”, thereby turning her dream into reality.

It is rare that a Moroccan artist releases a single in Moroccan dialect because it is very difficult to market it to the Middle-East. Fortunately for Kaoutar, “Hobak Dayaa” was a great success so much so that it afforded her media blitz. She appeared as a guest in various radio shows in Morocco including Casa FM, Shada FM, Radio Mars, Radio Plus, Med Radio, Radio Atlantic, and Sawt Almoghtaribin Al 3arab. Not only that but she also appeared in many TV shows including Sabahiyat 2M, Massar 2M, Channel 4 Ma3a Taroub, and 100% Chabab.

Furthermore, in october2012, Kaoutar appeared as a cover Star for Khabar 3ajel and Najma, two of Lebanon’s more popular magazines. Recently, she released a music video, which was shot in New York by an American director, for her popular first album’s title track “Nta li bghit”.

After the success of “Nta Li Bghit” released on July 2012, Kaoutar continued to write and compose songs in Moroccan dialect and has recently released a House style Moroccan song entitled “Romeo”.

Kaoutar has a pool of songs, both in Moroccan and in English, to draw from, and is currently working on the release of a second album with tracks in Moroccan, Khaleeji, and Enlgish.

It is not very common that Moroccan artists release singles in the Moroccan dialect being that it’s difficult to market to Middle-Easterns. However, the single was a great success, and Kaoutar was featured on several Radio shows in Morocco ( Casa FM, Shada FM) and the Lebanese radio Sawt al Moghtaribin. In addition to that, Kaoutar was the cover star of the famous Lebanese magazine in Khabar3ajel.
Kaoutar has a pool of Moroccan and English poems/songs to draw from and is currently working on the release of a yet another Moroccan single entitled “Ma Tensanish” due to release this summer.

For those of you who didn’t know what’s going on or maybe confused, here are the facts regarding this unfortunate situation. It started with this 30 years old woman who goes by the nick name of Silka Sosa. The story is that she got in touch with Max by writing him letters and asked him if she can help raise money for his case. Max said yes with the impression that she was sincere. She first assembled a website [PardonTheWave.com], and started to misleading the people that she was Max’s wife. Max never denied it since she was helping, he even played the role by calling her his wife on a local radio interview.

As time progressed she also asked for his twitter password (allegedly with good intentions) to promote the website. At this point, Masar, who was running Max verified twitter account for 3 years, warned him about giving the password to strangers. However this warning was ignored with full confidence that she was a sane and trust worthy lady who wanted to sincerely help. Once the password was given to her, she changed it immediately and for some incomprehensible reason started disrespecting Masar online. [Watch this video for details].

At this point of time she was also selling merchandise via the website and was putting together a petition for the white house and a listening party to raised funds for Max. With that being, he didn’t want to upset her and let her continue, until the party was done. Unfortunately her party was unsuccessful and only a few people showed up. Artist like Lazy K, Fat Joe & French Montana was unlawfully advertised on the flyer did not appear. That infuriated her and from then on she started dissing French Montana by using Max’s twitter account.

Sadly to say Max never received a $1 from this woman. She was using her own PayPal for transactions [pardonthewave@gmail.com]. Through these trials and tribulations he became obviously fed-up. Exhausted and tired of her, Max figured a way to get the new password and gave it back to Masar. By this time Masar created another account [Max_Biggavelli] as a backup while all this nonsense was taking place.

Hailing from the streets of Flatbush, Brooklyn, Young Dre is an aspiring rapper whose about to break through the clutter of obnoxiously flossy MCs. Drawing inspiration from rap legends like 2pac, Notorious B.I.G and LL Cool J, Young Dre made a name for himself by sticking to his raw street style and spitfire delivery. Dre’s musical gifts first became apparent at the tender age of 5 years old, when his mom Gillian would have him recite lyrics from her favorite songs. She didn’t know at the time that his innocent impersonations would soon flourish to produce an immense gift.

During the hip-hop golden age, as rap groups like Wu-Tang Clan, Criss-Cross and A Tribe Called Quest permeated mainstream culture, Young Dre became dedicated to his craft. In 1993, Young Dre met his childhood friend and future partner in crime Dominick Phillips aka Dom P. From there, the two formed the group Goodfella Movement. Musically, the duo made magic together. They transformed the struggles and stresses of growing up in Flatbush into raw, honest lyrics.

At 17, Dom P was arrested on drug charges and sentenced to a year in prison. At that time, Dre packed up and moved to Kentucky to regroup and escape the city life for a while. Their time apart helped them both evolve lyrically and hone in on their talents. Building the beats, lyrics, and melodies all from the ground up, Goodfella movement captured their own unique sound and in 2007 joined forces again – this time synching up with a neighborhood friend and 3rd member of the Goodfella Movement, Fusha.

If you’re keen on rap lyrics that boast about Betley’s, Rolexes, and making it rain, the Goodfella Movement isn’t for you. “What inspires the Goodfellas to write music is the day to day struggles of life that everybody can relate too,” says Young Dre. “We all go through it; fat, small, big, tall, sick, poor, rich, pretty, ugly. We all are human and that’s what inspires me.”
