In future we will make special edition about all the cities in south of France because there is a lot of new structures there now
Deen Burbigo: Yes there is a lot of new upcoming artists coming from the south
Journalist #2: there is Joke and Ahmad in Montpelier, a lot of thing are happening there. We also spoke a lot about Marseille but there is more upcoming cities in the south of France
Deen Burbigo: Yes you’re right, there is more than that. Personally I have been very influenced by music from cities like Nice, Cannes, Antibes and Vallauris. There was a few groups there like Chiens de paille, Coloquinte but the group that I really liked was called Mic Forcing. It was a group composed by 2 rappers called Veust Lyricist and Masar
Journalis #1: Oh yea Veust is really hot
Deen Burbigo: both of them really influenced me but if I have to stick with one rapper, I would definitely say Veust, because of his presence, his voice, his lyrics and rhymes. Not too much people heard of him but he brought so many great songs that I think he really under the radar right now
Journalist #1: Rapper Infinit, which we did an interview for and who is also one of his closest friend, told us that for him Veust is the best French rapper
Deen Burbigo: Yes I totally agree , I agree a 100%. In 2006 I really though Veust was about to blow up and I was supporting him heavy
Journalist #1: He was sign with Akhenaton.
Deen Burbigo: Yes he was sign with Akhenaton, but both of them had a different.. I mean Veust Lyricist and Masar had both 2 different destinies. Masar is now managing Max B
Journalist #1: Yeah that’s crazy!
Journalist #2: But he also make beats and music videos over there
Deen Burbigo:Yes he do it all. Everything that can possibly been made with a computer, two arms and two eyes he did it
Journalist #2: (laughing) A real hustler
Deen Burbigo: :Big up to Masar if he see this one day
Journalist #1: Ok let finish this edition with one music video of your choice
Deen Burbigo: Yes, Styles and Pharoahe Monch “The Life”
