Last week I made my album “Nouvelle ère” that I’ve recorded in 2008 available for sale in the Prison Music Kiosk (The iTunes of correctional facilities in the US). What I liked the most was the unexpected response from my bro Charly Wingate. At first he bought my album to show support but was positively surprise once he heard my flow.
In the 7 years that I have worked with Max B, I never once mentioned my ability to rap because I stopped making music prior to meeting him. Having one of the most influential Rappers of all times recognizing your work as a musician is much appreciated.
Max may not understand my French lyrics but we all share the same emotions when we hear similar flows and melodies. We understand the pitch, rhythm, and tempo of speech because the same patterns are present across all spoken languages.
His email got me so hyped that I’m thinking of getting back in the booth just for the fun of it.
